Bikini Judging

The NMA Bikini division consists of two parts: Group Comparisons (Prejudging) and Individual Presentations (stage walks).

The prejudging consists of ¼ turn comparisons.

For events that have separate times for prejudging and finals, individual presentations (stage walks) are only performed at finals.

This will be similar to a figure walk with competitor stopping in center stage, then opposite side they walked from, back to the center and off stage (the same side they entered from).

Two-piece suits and high-heeled shoes are worn for both parts of the contest. Suits can be of any style, color and pattern. Suits should be in good taste.

1. Competitors will compete in a 2 piece suit. The bottom of the suit must be V shaped. Thongs are permitted.
2. Competitors can compete in an off the rack suit
3. All swimsuits must be in good taste.
4. Competitors must wear heels
5. Competitors may wear a reasonable amount of jewelry

Judging Criteria
Judging is based on having an overall healthy-looking toned athletic body with good symmetry, shape, fullness, balance and proportion with good poise, posture, confidence, stage presence and comfortable presentation.

1. Balance and shape
2. Skin tone
3. Poise
4. Overall presentation

Group Comparisons – Competitors will walk out individually to the center of the stage and Strike 4 of your best poses. Then you will step to the rear of the stage by the awards table in order.  After each person in the class has done this you will all proceed to the middle of the stage, in a numerical order line, and we will proceed with the standard mandatory poses.
Competitors Body Evaluations - Each class is brought to front center stage and is guided through quarter turns to display physiques from the front, back and both sides.

Individual Presentations – Stage Walks
The individual presentation portion for NMA Bikini competitions is a stage walk. Competitors walk out to music provided and perform a strait line walk. Individual presentations should be done tastefully and be conducive to a family atmosphere. Bodybuilding-type poses, fitness moves (like push-ups) and costumes/props should be avoided.
